I consider myself a layman artist, indulging primarily in the process of creating, putting ego and ability aside. The result; be it perceptively (to the eye of the viewer)  attractive, repulsive, or incoherent to plain boring.  The process over rides the outcome.

 

Being Bi polar and having a range of mindstates from mania to flat/depressed, the process of doing (art), in itself allows me to  indulge in the moment. The act of doing helps  release built up mind energy, or on the other end of the spectrum, try to strart up some mind energy due to being flat, just like a car stuck in idle!!   Hence strive to get

 into some kind of gear, even if it is only 1st.

 

In relation to color and overall form in many of my works you will may find distinct shifts in form and/or colour.  There are works started  while in a  moderate mood but  then may find at some point within the life of that work,  a shift  in; intensity, flatness , fustration, mania and so on  that brings itself out onto the  canvas , paper as the work evolves. k k
